Noveleta waives mayor’s permit for trike
NOVELETA, Cavite – The local government of Noveleta waived the “Mayor’s Permit” to all tricycle drivers to make up for the losses from long non-travel in the locality for the year 2022.
Upon the request of Mayor Dino Chua to the local council, Vice Mayor Arlyn Torres and 10 members of the municipal council approved the Sangguniang Bayan resolution waiving the Mayor’s Permit for all tricycle drivers upon renewal of the local permit.
Tricycle operators are only required to get the issuance of 2022 Tricycle plates.
“Our around 2,000 tricycle drivers and operators need to pay Php 200 for the plate, we waived the Php 300 Mayor’s permit fee for them to cope up and lessen the expenses of renewing their permits,” Mayor Chua said.
In other development, the local government also set aside Saturdays for booster shots of tricycle drivers and ambulant vendors every Saturday at Noveleta Health Center for extra protection against COVID-19.
It will be recalled that the LGU did not neglect tricycle drivers to be blessed with aid amid the pandemic for the past two years.
