EXCEPT in some courts in the province of Nueva Ecija, no significant damage has been sustained by courts in areas ravaged by Super Typhoon Karding (international name: Noru), the Office of the Court Administrator (OCA), in a partial report on Monday, showed.

“As per the partial report submitted to the Office of the Court Administrator, Raul B. Villanueva, the courts in the areas affected by typhoon ‘Karding’ sustained no major damage except our courts from Nueva Ecija including Cabanatuan City, which would need repairs due to damage caused by the typhoon.”

“The Office of Court Administrator Villanueva is making sure that this will be done as soon as possible in order not to unduly disrupt court operations,” the OCA said in a statement released thru the Supreme Court Public Information Office.

Karding battered Central and Northern Luzon with heavy rain and fierce winds. Southern Luzon was also affected.

The strong typhoon first made landfall in Burdeos, Quezon, Sunday afternoon, followed by another landfall in Dingalan, Aurora, in the evening.

It crossed Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, and Zambales, before emerging over Zambales’ coastal waters.
