THE Navotas City government is fast-tracking the completion of the Navotas City Hospital expansion to accommodate more Navoteno patients and to give them quality health services.

Mayor Tiangco said the hospital’s Radiology Department, if the expansion completed, will give CT scan services, aside from the existing x-ray and ultrasound. It will also provide a completely automated Laboratory and Pathology department which will cater Department of Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Chemistry, Immunology, Serology and Histopathology.

Aside from these, the 50-bed capacity will increase to 120 beds capacity and these includes the 15-intensive care unit (ICU) beds where Navoteno patients with severe illness will be taking care of and be treated.

The Navotas City Hospital, according to Congressman John Rey Tiangco, was opened on 2014 to provide medical and health services to their constituents, including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Surgery and Anaesthesiology and Hemodialisys. The hospital also served community and out-patient department including dental services.

Mayor Tiangco expressed confidence that if the construction will be completed, the Navotas City Hospital will be qualified for Level 2 DOH Accredited Facility and many Navoteno will benefit from the quality services it will offer.

Mayor Toby clarified that despite the developments, the policy of free medical and health services to all Navotenos will remain.
