“Joining any pageant is never really easy.” That was the revelation made by Mrs. Universe Philippines 2023 Arlene Cris Damot, owner and CEO (chief executive officer) of Royal Aesthetics Clinic, that recently tied up with Miss Earth.

“You have to be always camera-ready. For aesthetics, you have to be taking care of yourself and be ready any time. I opened an aesthetic clinic for empowerment.”

This early, some of the Miss Earth candidates visited Arlene’s clinic at SM North EDSA Tower 4 and availed of the many beauty treatments that are suited to their personality.

“We have drips and doctor’s procedures, namely botox, fillers, thread lift and other treatments like facial,” Arlene granted. “In two months, we will expand to surgical services.”

The clinic’s most popular services are drips which are good for the skin and for energy, according to Arlene.

“The drips are suited for the Miss Earth talents because they are always on the go. For doctor’s procedures, there are fillers, botox, thread lift and facial.”

In the coming months, a popular beauty queen will be introduced as the face of Royal Aesthetics Clinic, as she will endorse the beauty clinic.

All the Miss Earth contestants will visit the clinic for their beauty procedures before the pageant on May 11. Representative of Miss Earth from Makati City, Sam Samara, availed of the botox treatment so she will not have smile lines on her forehead.

Ira Patricia Malaluan of Batangas City did the Sakura drip to “give me that glow at a certain stage” and she is just really glad with this partnership of Miss Earth with Royal Aesthetics Clinic.

Starting April, the early candidates introduced to the media included Ansha Lichelle Jones of Zamboanga City, Cathleen Santiago of Pasig City, Marinell Salvador of Cabanatuan City, Jonalyn Balauro of Aglipay, Quirino;

Merryjoy Dayrit of Bustos, Bulacan, Issa Denisse De Leon of Baler, Aurora, Abigail Supilanas Cajegas of Dasol, Pangasinan.

“Just like the mainstream and the media, how they showcase, let’s say, plastic surgery or body enhancement, but we live in a generation where we need to be always ready and on the go. It is acceptable and that’s fine.

“That boosts your self-confidence. If you are okay with it and you need to go for it, then go for it. It doesn’t matter what other people perceive at the end of the day. As long as you’re yourself and you feel powerful, that’s what counts.”

Arlene’s hubby, Indian businessman David Jayabalan, the COO (chief operating officer) of the clinic. “This is a collaboration with Miss Earth and about trying to get involved in taking care of the environment. I think that’s the main goal of this collaboration with Miss Earth.”

Beyond looks, beauty and charm, Arlene has this advice for the Miss Earth candidates in order to win.

“Just be themselves,” Arlene said. “In a beauty pageant, it’s not easy but you have to shine.”

Arlene opened her first branch of Royal Aesthetics Clinic in 2018 in Parañaque, where she was born and raised. “Where it all started,” she informed. During the pandemic, more branches were added.

To date, Royal Aesthetics Clinic has put up six branches – Bacoor and SM Imus in Cavite; Baliuag, Bulacan; SM North EDSA; and SM Las Piñas. “We have plans to open three more clinics this year and in the near future,” Arlene shared.

“It’s the experience that the ladies get here that made them come back for more,” said David. “In the clinic, they are treated like royalty. The services we do are all genuine.

“We have the latest machines, we have doctors who make sure everything the patient does is proper.”

Back when she was young, Arlene was bullied in school for being a chubby girl. Her skin tone was also morena.

“I just want to emphasize that once you set your mind and heart into your goals, you can be anything you want to be” Arlene said.

Arlene holds a professional certificate in Advanced Aesthetics from the European International University in Paris, France.

She is also medical aesthetics certified by the International Academy of Aesthetics Science. Previously board certified as a registered nurse (RN), Arlene is presently taking her doctor of medicine degree.
