MENDEZ Mayor Francisco “Cocoy” Mendoza Jr. recently led the distribution of cash gifts to nonagenarians of the locality held at Mendez town plaza.

Following the passage of Provincial Ordinance No. 343-2022, all nonagenarians or those aged 90 to 99 years old in our town were given a “Certificate of Recognition” and a cash gift worth P5,000.

The awarding of this recognition which took place at the Mendez Municipal Quadrangle was led by the Provincial Government of Cavite in collaboration with the Mendez local government unit (LGU) with the staff of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, MSWD, and the Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA).

Mayor Cocoy expressed gratitude to the Office of Governor Jonvic C. Remulla for his “tireless support of our countrymen, including the elderly.”

Around 59 Mendezeño nonagenarians received recognition and incentives.
