Mayor Oca marks 66th bday by witnessing employees’ jabs
CALOOCAN City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan celebrated his 66th birthday on Monday by visiting the vaccination site situated at the New Caloocan City Hall Complex to personally witnessed the ceremonial vaccination of city hall employees.
Mayor Oca, together with 1st District Congressman Dale “Along” Malapitan attended and observed the inoculation of employees assigned at the Public Safety and Traffic Management Department, City Environment and Management Department, officers and uniformed personnel of the local city police and senior citizens.
“Ito ay upang masiguro ang kaligtasan at proteksiyon laban sa malalang COVID-19 ng ating mga senior citizen at mga kawani, lalu na ang humaharap sa iba’t-ibang tao bilang parte ng kanilang araw-araw ng trabaho,” Mayor Oca said.
To speed up the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines to thousands of residents, Mayor Oca said the inoculation will continue in other vaccination sites for A1, A2, A3 and A4 priority groups.
Meanwhile, President Rodrigo Duterte extended his birthday greetings and expressed his wish to Mayor Oca in a two minutes and five seconds Presidential video message.
“Isang karangalan po para sa akin ang maalala at mabati sa aking kaarawan ng ating mahal na Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte. Maraming maraming salamat po,” Mayor Oca said.
