MAVY Legaspi has just renewed his contract with GMA along with his twin sister, Cassy. They joined showbiz nearly three years ago, starting as hosts in “Sarap Di Ba” with their parents Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi, then performing in “All Out Sundays”. Mavy also appears in the GTV comedy show, “Flex”.

Cassy has tried acting in “First Yaya” and now, it is the turn of Mavy to do a teleserye in “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon” where he’s paired with rumored squeeze, Kyline Alcantara. So how is it working with Kyline?

“I’ve said in previous interviews that I really want to work with her so heto, I’m glad na pinagbigyan ang wish ko,” he says. “First teleserye ko ever at siya na nga ang kapareha ko, so I’m really very happy kasi we are really good friends. There’s no need for an ice breaker sa set kasi comfortable na kami talaga sa isa’t isa.”

In the story, Mavy plays the half brother of Heart Evangelista while Kyline is the daughter of Heart’s boyfriend, Richard Yap. Also in the cast is Paolo Contis as Heart’s first boyfriend. So how is it doing lock in taping on location in Sorsogon?

“Okay naman. I enjoyed it. First time for me to live and work far away from my family and siyempre, I missed them. But then, nauna na sa’kin si Cassy to experience this in ‘First Yaya’ and she told me what to expect na. Mabait lahat ng co-stars at kasama ko sa location so masaya naman.”

But even if he’s now very busy with his showbiz career, Mavy is not neglecting his college studies.

“Yes, both my sister and I promised to our parents that we won’t neglect getting higher education, lalo na sa mommy namin. Siya talaga ang may gustong makatapos kami ng college kasi siya, nag-college but then, hindi niya natapos so she wants us na mga anak niya na siyang mag-college so we won’t have any regrets daw. I’m now taking up entrepreneurship and second year na ako. So far, napagsasabay namin nang maayos ang work and studies, as long as your priorities are clear to you. Sabi nga, basta gusto, may paraan.”
