Martin may payo sa mga ‘walang utang na loob’
“THE number one lesson I’ve learned is you have to know the people you’ve met on your way up ‘coz they’re the same people you will see on your way down.”
Ito ang sinabi ni Concert King Martin Nievera, singer-songwriter at huwarang ama sa isang panayam. “So if that person does not remember me then I have no love for that person ‘coz not just me, but people who came along the way, who brought that person to sit in that seat equal to me. If that person doesn’t remember where he or she came from, I feel sorry for that person,” dagdag pa niya.
Nagbigay pahayag si Nievera ukol sa mga nakakasama nito na nasubaybayan niya ang pagsisimula at pagsikat pero hindi nagtagal ang career dahil umano sa pagbabago ng mga ugali nito.
Hiningi rin ang opinyon ng aktor tungkol sa kanyang mga nakasama at natulungan at ngayon ay kasing-popular na niya.
“Hindi lang equal. They surpassed me pa nga eh. And I’m one performer, singer, who’s proud of that. Hindi ako naiinggit, hindi ako nade-depress dahil lumampas sila sa akin. Now, if that person, whoever he or she may be, doesn’t remember… I’ve always said this, ‘It’s easy to make it, easier to not make it,” aniya.
Dinagdag ni Martin na walang future ang mga ‘nakakalimot.’
“Walang future yung tao na yon. You can never forget where you came from,” aniya.
