No. 4 in CPA exams

THE City Council of Manila unanimously passed on Thursday a resolution commending Feliz Victoria G. Cañeza of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) for placing 4th in the 2023 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Exams.

Authored by 6th District Councilor Carlos “Caloy” Castaneda, the resolution congratulated Caneza on her exemplary performance, obtaining a rating of 88.83 percent in the exams in which only 2,239 or 30.36 percent of 7,376 candidates passed.

“The whole City Council should commend Ms. Feliz Victoria Garrido Cañeza, CPA, for bringing honor and prestige not only to PLM, but to the entire City of Manila,” Castaneda said in his sponsorship speech. PLM is a chartered and autonomous university funded by the city government.

The exams were conducted from May 21 to 23 in various sites in the country, including the National Capital Region.

Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul Servo” Nieto, who presided over the session, praised PLM for the high quality of education it provides to its students, even as he expressed his excitement over Cañeza’s performance.

The resolution is in line with the city government’s thrust, under the leadership of Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan, to inspire and encourage the youth of Manila to become achievers in their chosen careers.
