A MALAYSIAN national and his Filipino cohort posing as process servers of Regional Trial Court (RTC) were arrested for presenting a fake release order for detained Chinese nationals Monday evening in Paranaque City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the arrested suspects as Owi Jee Hao, 32, Human Resources manager of “Billions of Dragons Company” and resident of Alabang, Muntinlupa City and his employee, Lorenz Vicedo, 26, of Luzon St. Alabang.

In his report to BGen. Macaraeg, Paranaque Police chief P/Col. Maximo Sebastian, Jr. said the two arrived at the police headquarters in the early evening on Monday and introduced themselves as process servers of Paranaque RTC while presenting a court “release order” for the three Chinese nationals, identified as Han Xun, Cen Shaku, and Shen Fa who were arrested for kidnapping last January 22, 2022.

The duty police officer doubted the authenticity of the release order prompting him to verify it to the issuing court which led to the discovery of a fake public document.

The two were placed under arrest and later presented for inquest proceedings before the Paranaque City Prosecutor’s Office for a case of falsification of public documents and usurpation of authority.

“Let this serve as a warning to all pretending to be a person of authority, representing a department or agency in the Philippine government is a serious crime punishable by law,” Macaraeg said in his statement.
