Shernee Tan-Tambut has sought the support of former President and former Speaker of the House of Representatives Gloria Macapagal Arroyo who is running unopposed as Representative of the 2nd Congressional District of Pampanga. The former President showed Rep. Tambut and her husband, Capt. Marjani Tambut, around her district in Lubao and Guagua to visit some Muslim communities.

​THE Kusug Tausug undertook a two-day campaign blitz among Muslims residing in selected areas in vote-rich Pampanga as well as the imams and several Christian leaders of the National Capital Region.

​Kusug Tausug first nominee Representative Shernee Tan-Tambut toured the Muslim communities of barangays Sto. Nino and San Rafael in Guagua, Pampanga and the Muslim leaders of Arayat, Pampanga on March 4th.

The historical town of Guagua is home to thousands of Muslims who relocated to this town from Mindanao. Several Muslim families likewise reside in the municipality of Arayat. Introducing the KusugTausug party list and its vision of inclusive growth, Cong. Tan-Tambut urged her fellow Muslims to help her increase the representation of Muslims in Congress. She likewise noted how the Muslims have helped contribute to the growth of their adopted towns and urged them to continue their work as productive residents of Pampanga.

Earlier in the day, Cong. Tan-Tambut witnessed the signing in San Fernando City of the COMELEC-sponsored Peace Covenant and recitation of the Integrity Pledge of all candidates of Pampanga province, after which she proceeded to the Muslim Center of Barangay San Pedro, San Fernando City. In Arayat, among those attended the informal meeting were Arayat Mayor Emmanuel Bon Alejandrino and mayoralty candidate Madeth “Madir” Alejandrino, who both belong to the local political party Kambilan.

The following day, Cong. Shernee Tan-Tambut attended the consultation with purok leaders of the municipality of Lubao, Pampanga, organized by Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda.

After the Lubao event, she attended the interfaith meeting in Quezon City between the Muslim ulamas of the National Capital Region and Christian leaders of Metro Manila. Accompanying Cong. Shernee throughout her Pampanga and Quezon City visits was her husband, Capt. Marjani “John” Tambut.

Cong. Tan-Tambut and her husband was shown around Pampanga by former President and former Speaker of the House of Representatives Gloria Macapagal Arroyo who is running unopposed as Representative of the 2nd Congressional District of Pampanga. The 2nd District of Pampanga covers six towns, including Lubao and Guagua.
