CALOOCAN City Administrator Oliver Hernandez accepted an award as “Natatanging Gawad Mabuting Filipino” on behalf of his late mother, Julita Ramos Hernandez, given by the Inter-School Academic and Athletic League (ISAAL).
The awarding ceremony was held at the Robinsons Novaliches events center on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
ISAAL’s posthumous recognition was given to the late Hernandez for her excellent work as an educator.
As a teacher, she manifested dedication and commitment, which earned her the distinction of being the “Most Outstanding Teacher”.
From a Master Teacher, she became a Principal, and she displayed a dynamic brand of leadership and supervision and once again received the title the “Most Outstanding Principal”.
Together with her husband, Oscar Hernandez, she then founded the Young Achievers’ School of Caloocan, Inc. (YASC).
She set the bar the school needed to reach to emerge as a “leader” of quality education in North Caloocan.
