“I get tired of things easily like I can be so into social media one day or for like a few years and when I’m over it, I’m over it,” ani Greta.

“I’m in a different world now, I can let go. And you have to let go of what does not serve you anymore,” dagdag niya.

Matatandaan nga ring bago siya nag-disable ng kanyang socmed ay kinuyog ng bashers ang dating aktres pero mas pinili niyang manahimik na lang.

“Kasi, ‘yung when they say, people like to ruin beautiful things. And you know, you have to count your blessings. I want to just live in the moment and enjoy the moment and the people who really matter.

Komento naman ni Dra. Aivee, malaki na ang ipinagbago ni Greta at Gretchen 2.0 na ito ngayon.

Asked if she likes what she is now, sey ni Greta, “I like the Gretchen in every stage – the not-so-good Gretchen, the naughty Gretchen, the controversial Gretchen and the hardworking Gretchen.

But I like the more peaceful Gretchen now. The older, the more mature, you know.”

Sey pa niya, “I’m more confident, I’m just more sure of myself. I like it. There’s nothing wrong with liking peace, right?”

Ayon pa sa ate ni Claudine Barretto, nagawa na niya ang lahat ng gusto niyang gawin sa buhay kaya mas gusto na lang niya ng quiet life ngayon.

“I can just chill at home and say, ‘boy, I really live life to the fullest,’ you know, I can really take a halt now and I’m fine, you know. I’ve done it all.”

Asked kung mayroon pa siyang gustong gawin na hindi pa niya nagagawa, she said, “Just to be quiet is enough. Because I’ve never been quiet, you know what I mean? I’ve never been this secure in my life, I’ve never been so sure of myself. This is what I haven’t done. I mean, I was never this way.”

Aniya pa, “My role now is I’m a homemaker.”

Tanong ni Dra. Aivee, “Is life better without a social media?”

And she replied, “I believe so.”

What’s her words of wisdom?

“I have freedom to do what I want to do with all sincerity. I don’t do things out of wanting to show people. And I feel people more because I also feel their sincerity. When they give me something, it’s because, you know, it’s what I want.

“It’s not the value that you’re giving me. Because, you know, ‘oh, she’s gonna post and everyone’s gonna see it.

“And even when I dress now, I dress for myself and not for the public. Not because, you know, you don’t feel pressured to like, overspend because you feel you’re gonna have to show off. So it’s more real.

“And I didn’t know that then. Now I know it. So, I save more money now,” saad ni Gretchen.

Tanong pa ni Dra. Aivee, “Gretch, ‘pag walang social media, how do you keep yourself relevant?”

Sagot ni La Greta, “I am relevant. Come on, let’s face it. It’s not something you can just erase because you don’t have social media. In fact, I believe I’m more relevant because people don’t know where I am, what I’m doing.”

Oo nga naman.
