Funeral parlor owner, driver slain in gun attack
AN owner of a funeral parlor and his driver were killed in a gun attack in Sibagat, Agusan del Sur.
The Police Regional Office 13 identified the victims as Remer Basco, an owner of a funeral parlor in the town, and his driver Alden Egagamao.
Ricci Jane Claros, a client at the funeral parlor, was hit by a stray bullet.
The gun attack occurred at Purok 5 in Bgy. San Vicente, Sibagat town at 9 p.m. on Friday.
Witnesses said Basco, although wounded, tried to run from his attackers but were chased by the suspects, who finished him off.
The gunmen fled after the killing.
Basco was declared dead on arrival at the hospital while his driver died while being treated.
Responding lawmen found at the crime scene four spent shells from a cal. 45 gun, and five fired bullets from a cal. 45 and cal. 9mm guns.
