FRUITFUL PBBM US STATE VISIT
HOUSE Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez yesterday assured the public that the state visit to America of President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. and his meeting with US president Joe Biden, will be a big help to the Philippines.
According to Speaker Romualdez, “definitely, hihikayatin ni PBBM si Pres. Biden na mag-invest pa sa Pilipinas para makalikha ng maraming trabaho para sa mga kababayan natin.”
“Bukod sa investment lalo pang pagtitibayin ng dalawang bansa ang kooperasyon sa depensa at seguridad ng ating bansa,” said Romualdez.
The leader of Congress added, “Siyempre ang focus ng usapin nila ay palalakasin pa ang economic cooperation ng Pilipinas at US na ilang dekada na rin na nandiyan at malaking naitutulong sa ating ekonomiya.”
Speaker Romualdez is in America after meeting with lawmakers in the US Congress such as US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and US House Majority Leader Steve Scalise.
In a statement, the US State Department once again noted that, “they will defend the Philippines” against its future enemy due to its longstanding friendship.
As part of the agreement between the Philippines and America, the country receives military equipment and training from Uncle Sam.
“We are expecting na pag-uusapan ng dalawang lider ang isyu sa climate change at pagbawas sa carbon emissions ng dalawang bansa,” added the lawmaker from Leyte.
