Fireman hurt in QC fire
A FIREMAN was injured while battling a four-alarm blaze at the warehouse of a plastic company in Quezon City on Monday morning.
Fire Officer (FO) 1 Jaymark Mapuyan sustained 2nd degree burns on the left lower leg, left middle finger, and as well as on right hand.
A report from the Quezon City Fire Department showed that an industrial fire was reported at a plastics company located at 5 Star Compound, Sitio Gitna, Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Quezon City, at about 12:05 a.m.
Arson investigators said they are still investigating the cause of the fire that reportedly originated at the ceiling of a barracks.
The fire reached the fourth alarm and was declared fire out at around noon (March 13).
About P70 million worth of properties were damaged by fire.
