Fire guts Ilocos Sur municipal hall
STO. DOMINGO, Ilocos Sur- Fire gutted the Sto Domingo Municipal Hall in Brgy. San Pablo, Sto. Domingo was gutted Monday night.
A police report showed the eastern rooftop of the municipal hall was burned down for still unknown reasons.
“At about 8:10 p.m. of June 7, 2021, personnel of Sto Domingo PS received information from a concerned citizen informing that there was a thick smoke coming at the eastern rooftop of said Municipal Hall,” said the report.
Police and fire protection personnel responded to verify the report and upon arrival, saw the municipal hall was on fire.
BFP personnel of Sto Domingo and other BFP from adjacent municipalities helped extinguish the flames.
A fire out was declared at around 9:20 p.m. of the same date.
Personnel of BFP Sto Domingo are still investigating the cause of fire.
Cost of damage is still undetermined.
