Fake cops create trouble after bar rejects song request

THREE security guards, allegedly posing as policemen while creating trouble inside a bar club and music lounge were arrested by authorities Saturday evening in Makati City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Kirby John Kraft said the suspects, identified as Renante Sacil, 30, Lino Bartolay, 26, and Richard Bongcras Jr., 35, allegedly told police officers from Poblacion Police Station who tried to pacify them by uttering a word “Wala kaming pakialam sa inyo, Criminologist kami! Hindi kami sasama sa inyo,” which prompted authorities to arrest them.

Investigation showed that at around 7 p.m., the suspects entered the bar club located along A. Venue, Makati Avenue, Brgy. Poblacion and after consuming several bottle of liquor, Sacil approached the band vocalist, Jildo Miramis II, and asked about their requested song which the latter politely answered that there were many requested songs ahead of theirs.

The suspect allegedly got irked and shouted on top of his voice saying “Hindi mo ba kami kilala? Mga pulis kami dito sa Makati,” which prompted Miramis to ask for their identification card.

The suspect, along with his companion, allegedly became unruly and threatened those who tried to pacify them, prompting bar manager Erika Alacar to seek the assistance of Poblacion Police Sub-Station resulting in the arrest of the suspect.

BGen. Kraft said the three security guard will be facing charges for violation of Art. 177 (Usurpation of Authority), Art. 155 (Alarms and Scandals), and Art. 151 (Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority or the Agents of Such Person) of the Revised Penal Code before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
