TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Chair Agnes Devanadera leads the launching of the Philippines’ first solar net-metered community in Via Verde Trece Martires in Barangay Cabuco on Thursday, June 2, 2022.

The project was the pioneering solar net-metered community where each house generates optimal solar energy and exports excess electricity to the grid in exchange for net-metering credits, contributing to a more “stable grid” in Luzon, Philippines.

Net metering is a government program that allows solar owners with less than 100 kWp capacity to export their excess electricity to the grid in exchange for electricity bill credits.

Trece Martires City Mayor Gemma Lubigan, Atty. Angelito Aguila, Director of Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD); Carlos Rabat, President and CEO of National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC); Angelo Tan, Country Lead of Philippines, International Finance Corporation (IFC); and Noel Porcuincula, Head, South Business Area, Meralco attended to show their support to the program.

Based on the perspective plan of the village, each house of 550 units in their 50,000 sqm development is built with Connovate High-Performance Concrete Technology resilient against typhoons, earthquakes, and fires.

A pre-cast technology from Denmark is the first in the Philippines, which provides residents an elevated level of safety and security within their own homes.

This project is championed by local and international agencies like the International Finance Corporation and the ERC for its cutting-edge innovations that help uplift the standard of living of its homeowners.

Target to be completed in 2025, Via Verde Trece Martires will serve as a “model” for all affordable, resilient, and sustainable projects to rise in the highly population-dense province of Cavite.

Imperial Homes Corporation (IHC) is the Philippines’ first Property Technology Developer.

Since 1983, IHC has launched 28 real estate developments, constructed over 20,000 homes, championed sustainable design, and offered solar-powered homes built with high-performance concrete (HPC) technology.

Representatives from the Board of Investments (BOI); PropTech Consortium of the Philippines (PropTech); Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF); Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance (PSSEA); Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA); Organization of Socialized Housing Developers of the Philippines (OSHDP) and National Real Estate Association (NREA) also attended the launching event.
