THE Taguig City Regional Trial Court has issued a commitment order for television host Vhong Navarro approving his transfer to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) jail in Camp Bagong Diwa.

This was confirmed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) after the bureau’s Security Management Section (NBI-SMS) received the court order. Navarro is currently detained at the NBI detention center.

In a statement, the NBI said that Navarro, who was accused of rape by model Deniece Millinete Cornejo, will “have to undergo the mandatory medical examination, including RT-PCR test, in compliance with the health protocol requirements prior to his transfer.”

“On 14 November 2022, the National Bureau of Investigation – Security Management Section (NBI-SMS) received the Order from Regional Trial Court Branch 69, to commit Ferdinand ‘Vhong’ H. Navarro to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Taguig City Jail – Male Dormitory, Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City,” the NBI said.

On September 19, 2022, the actor and television host, Ferdinand H. Navarro, in real life, surrendered to the NBI following the issuance of a warrant of arrest against him.

Branch 69 Judge Loralei Datahan recommended no bail for Navarro’s temporary liberty.

Also, the Court of Appeals (CA) 14th Division, in a September 20, 2022 resolution, denied the motions for reconsideration and issuance of a status quo ante order sought by Navarro.
