Couple found shot dead in Batangas home
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna – A man and his wife on Saturday were found dead in their house in Tanauan City, Batangas.
Police identified the victims as Allen John Umali, 38, and his wife Khegzy, 36, of Bgy. Darasa, Tanauan City.
The couple were operating shuttle services for workers of an industrial company.
They were found lifeless in their bedroom by Rhaziel Badillo, sister of Khegzy, at 7:20 a.m. on Saturday.
Badillo told investigators that she went to the couple’s house after her sister failed to reply to her messages since Friday.
The victims sustained gunshot wounds in the neck. Their hands were tied with duct tape.
Based on initial investigation, there was no sign of forced entry or struggle. The victims’ belongings such as cellphones, cash money, jewelry and other important things are intact.
An investigation is ongoing.
