Cops kill rob suspect in Pampanga

ONE of the two suspected robbers was killed on Friday in an encounter with police in Mexico, Pampanga.

In a report to Pampanga Police Director Col. Alvin Ruby Consolacion, operatives of the CIDG Pampanga were conducting a manhunt operation in Bgy. Panipuan, Mexico, Pampanga when they were alerted to a robbery hold-up incident in Bgy. Lagundi and possible interception of the two suspects on a motorcycle.

Police said two men wearing jackets and without helmets on a plateless motorcycle passed them at full speed.

The cops chased the riding in tandem when the back rider fired shots at them. The motorcycle suddenly made a wrong turn causing the back rider to fall from the motorcycle while the driver sped off.

The back rider continued to fire shots at the cops, who retaliated and killed the suspect.

Members of the Mexico Police positively identified the fatality as one of the suspects who perpetrated the robbery.

Seized from the suspect were a .45 pistol; a magazine for .45; fired bullet; a .45 fired cartridge case; a .45 cartridge; 9mm fired cartridge case; three plastic sachets of shabu, a sling bag, a white helmet, P8,703 cash, and a cellphone.
