MC theft dies in Bulacan shootout

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S SANTOS, City of Malolos – A suspected motorcycle thief on Friday was killed in a “hot pursuit” operation in Bgy. Batasan, San Miguel, Bulacan.

Bulacan Police Director Col. Charlie Cabradilla said Rey Pangilinan, of Bgy. Ilog Bulo, San Miguel, Bulacan, went to the police station to file a complaint after two unidentified men forcibly took his motorcycle.

Authorities were promptly alerted, and a hot pursuit operation was initiated.

The police saw two motorcycles parked on San Miguel-Candaba Bypass Road in Bgy. Camias, where the riders were changing their clothes.

One of the suspects suddenly drew his firearm and opened fire at the incoming officers. After an exchange of gunfire, one of the suspects was, while his unidentified cohort escaped.

Seized from the dead suspect were a .38 pistol, four fired casings, ten cartridges for a .45 pistol, a plateless motorcycle, a sling bag with two passports, a cellphone, P400 cash, and personal belongings.
