Cops arrest man for brandishing gun
QUEZON City policemen have arrested a 34-year-old man for brandishing a handgun during a traffic altercation in Quezon City last Friday.
P/Lt. Col. June Paolo Abrazado, chief of the Cubao Police Station 7, said a traffic altercation occurred at about 6:00 p.m. between Patrick Ewing Manabat and Kenneth Andrey Roxas along P. Tuazon Blvd., corner Times Square, Brgy. Socorro, Cubao, Quezon City.
During the altercation, Manabat reportedly threatened Roxas while holding his firearm, according to a bystander who witnessed the incident.
Operatives from Cubao Police Station responded to the scene that led to the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of a caliber 9mm pistol with 16 live ammunition.
Manabat will be charged with grave threat before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
QCPD director Police Brigadier General Redrico A Maranan commended the bystander whose timely report led to the arrest of the suspect.
