TOTS Carlos hopes to follow up her 31-point outing the last time out when defending champion Creamline plays Galeries Tower today in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference preliminaries at the Philsports Arena.

The Cool Smashers are gunning for a third straight win in the 4 p.m. clash with the Highrisers, with Carlos simply focusing on what lies on the table.

“Well, ang mindset naman lagi namin na sinasabi ni coach na after one game, tapos na kasi napakahaba nung season, napakaraming team. Every time na matapos namin ‘yung isang laro, natapos na yung trabaho, mindset na kami into the next game,” said Carlos, after Creamline topped Akari, 25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19, last Thursday.

Carlos deflected the credit to her teammates and coaches, recognizing their integral role in her one of the best career scoring performance.

“Yung nilalaro ko ngayon, even me, hindi ako makapaniwala.

So iyon, honestly, gusto ko pang matuto pa. Yun po.”

Cignal, also hoping to exploit its advantage in manpower in pursuit of a third consecutive victory and a share of the lead with idle Choco Mucho, face Nxled in the day’s other match at 6 p.m.

The HD Spikers, behind Ces Molina, Vanie Gandler and libero Dawn Catindig, defeated the Chargers and the Highrisers to open their season strong.

Despite dropping their first two matches, the Highrisers and the Chameleons are determined to turn things around.
