THE Vaccination Team of the City Government of Caloocan utilized the pension payout sites to conduct vaccinations for senior citizen.

Caloocan City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan said they used the pension sites for the inoculation of senior citizens with the aim that they would not go any further to the designated vaccination sites.

After getting their pension, senior citizens who wanted to get vaccinated were inoculated, using the single dose Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.

The City Health Department (CHD) provided 1,025 slots for 12 pension sites which the vaccination team went to on Tuesday while 538 slots were disposed to two pension sites on Wednesday.

“Bilang ang ating mga senior citizen ay kasama sa pinaka-vulnerable sa sakit, patuloy tayong gumagawa ng paraan upang mas mailapit sa kanila ang bakuna. Patuloy natin silang hinihikayat na magpabakuna na para sa kanilang proteksyon,” Mayor Oca said.

The latest data released by the CHD showed that around 80,245 senior citizens in Caloocan City already received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine while 46,767 were already fully vaccinated.
