CAAP ready for long weekend
THE 44 commercially operating airports under the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) signified its readiness to serve during this coming three-day weekend.
November 30 Bonifacio Day, which was a regular holiday, was moved to November 27, Monday, for Filipinos to enjoy a long weekend.
CAAP, together with agencies safeguarding our airports such as the Office for Transportation Security (OTS), the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP-AVSEGROUP), as well as other first aid responders, has initiated routine protocols to ensure swift and orderly processing of passengers passing through our airports.
Currently, the country has a total of 48 commercially operated airports, with four of these, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA), Clark International Airport, and Caticlan Airport, being managed by separate authorities from CAAP.
