Senators Marcos, Revilla distribute cash aid, boats to 3k Navoteños
SOME 3,000 Navoteños received cash assistance and boats as part of the week-long celebration of the birthdays of Mayor John Rey Tiangco and Cong. Toby Tiangco.
Fifty-six registered Navoteño fisherfolk received NavoBangka fiberglass boats and fishing gear from the office of Senator Imee R. Marcos.
Mayor Tiangco congratulated the beneficiaries and expressed his appreciation for Senator Imee Marcos’s efforts.
“We recognize the hardships that our fisherfolk experience and the sacrifices they make to give their families a better life. At the same time, we are grateful to Sen. Imee for the continuous assistance she extends to Navoteños,” he said.
The beneficiaries received fiberglass boats equipped with 16-horsepower marine engines and underwater fittings, as well as fishing nets, ropes, and fishing buoys.
Meanwhile, some 2,840 Navoteño college students received financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development in cooperation with the office of Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr.
Cong. Bryan Revilla of Agimat Partylist and son of Sen. Revilla, represented his father and led the distribution of the P2,000 cash aid.
