AIMS, La Salle grab semis berths

ASIAN Institute of Maritime Studies clobbered PATTS College of Aeronautics, 84-63, while De La Salle University- Dasmarinas outsteadied Philippine Merchant Marine School, 68-61, to advance to the semis in the 30th NCRAA (National Capital Region Athletic Association) basketball tournament at the Olivarez gym in Parañaque City.

Karlos Lapira led the way for Blue Sharks with 30 points on 5-of-10 from beyond the arc and seven rebounds in 28 minutes of action for coach Kiko Flores.

Jerico Peralta and Mark Reyes added 14 points each. Peralta also had nine assists and four steals while Reyes had eight rebounds.

Joshua Bongon and Emman Benitez paced the Sea Horses of coach Rensy Aranzaso.

Bongon finished with 14 points while Benitez added 12 points and five rebounds. Marjun Wahing contributed 11 points.

Meanwhile, the trio of Gio Santiago, Rogelio Calagos and Ronroy Bunda powered the Dasmarinas-based Patriots of coach Tito Reyes.

Santiago tallied 18 points including three triples, seven rebounds and four assists.

Calagos added 16 points, nine assists, five steals and four rebounds and Bunda contributed 10 points and five rebounds.

Dave Bolima paced the Mariners of coach Aldrin Morante with 14 points and 15 rebounds, followed by Jerome Jaucian with 14 points.

Dan Sildo contributed 12 points and Kane Montecalvo chipped in nine points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals.
