Bulacan cops nab 6 for telco cable theft

CAMP GEN ALEJO S. SANTOS, City of Malolos, Bulacan – Authorities arrested six suspects for stealing P2.7 million-plus worth of telephone wire, seven drug peddlers, and three wanted felons during an anti-crime drive.

In a report submitted to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3) Director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, Bulacan Police acting director Col. Charlie Cabradilla said Marilao Police recovered the stolen 770 meters of telephone wire worth P2,772,000 from six suspects.

Police also recovered 200 pairs of 22-gauge cable wire at least 350 meters long, three ladders, and one toolbox set.

The suspects allegedly stole the items from Racitelcom Inc. in Saog, Marilao.

Meanwhile, Norzagaray Police captured a wanted person, a native of Surigao Province, for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, in San Mateo, Norzagaray. Recovered from the suspect were a .22 toy gun, one cellphone, and a black backpack.

A series of anti-drug operations by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Plaridel, Bocaue, Balagtas, Angat, Norzagaray, and Hagonoy led to the arrest of seven drug suspects and the seizure of 24 sachets of shabu and the bust money.

CSJDM and Malolos City Police Tracker teams arrested a suspect for violating the Ecological Solid Waste Act 2000 or R.A. 9003 and two suspects for attempted homicide.
