BuCor to release 532 more PDLs
SOME 532 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) from seven prison facilities under the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) are scheduled to be released today.
This as Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, along with executive and prison officials, will attend another culminating activity held by BuCor.
BuCor Chief Gregorio Catapang Jr. and Public Attorney’s Office Chief Persida Acosta will also be present at the event.
In a statement, BuCor stated that 211 PDLs from the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City, 20 from the Leyte Regional Prison (LRP) in Abuyog, Leyte, 67 from the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) in Zamboanga City, 16 from the Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF) in Occidental Mindoro, 24 from the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF) in Palawan, 154 from the Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) in Davao del Norte, and 40 from the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City will be released.
