BuCor nears complete vaccination of PDLs
A TOTAL of 43,245 of the total inmate population of 48,991 have completed their COVID-19 vaccination in seven (7) Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) prison facilities all over the country.
Also, some 20 percent of inmate population have received their boosters, while 4,207 inmates are waiting for their second jab.
The prison facilities under BuCor are Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm in Oriental Mindoro, Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm in Palawan, New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa, Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City;
The Davao Prison and Penal Farm in Davao del Norte, San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm in Zamboanga City, and the Leyte Regional Prison in Southern Leyte.
BuCor is an attached agency of the Department of Justice. Under the law, the DOJ has administrative supervision over BuCor.
