Boutique owner shot dead by ‘customer’
A 50-YEAR-OLD boutique owner on Monday was shot dead by a man who pretended to buy a gift for her daughter in Talisay, Batangas.
Talisay Municipal Police Station chief Capt. Llewelyn Reyes identified the victim as Victoria Balba, a businesswoman and an overseas Filipino worker residing in Bgy. Bancoro, San Nicolas, Batangas.
Balba succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head.
SMSgt. Joel Banta and Cpl. Gil Jonas Dalisay said Balba was in her Lovelyn Bella Boutique when the suspect arrived and asked for a birthday gift for her daughter.
The suspect then pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the head.
Witnesses said the gunman fled on a motorcycle driven by a cohort.
