Tingog thanksgiving concert packs Amoranto

THE free thanksgiving concert sponsored by the Tingog Party list held Saturday night at the Amoranto Sports Complex proved to be a blockbuster, drawing thousands of supporters and music lovers from all over Metro Manila.

Dubbed “Tingog ng Pasasalamat” the event in Quezon City was the third leg of the series of concerts Tingog Party list has been staging as a gesture of its gratitude for the support it received in the May 2021 election, which saw the party winning two seats in the House of Representatives.

“It’s our way of saying thanks to all the people who trusted and supported us and that we are doing our best to serve them,” said Rep. Jude Acidre, who along with Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez represents Tingog in the House.

The concert featured a diverse lineup of talented performers who brought their unique brand of entertainment to the stage.

A pre-show that featured social media sensation and singer DJ Loonyo, beauty queen and singer-actress Ali Forbes, and Joe Joe & Joe, set the energy and the party atmosphere for the night.

The concert proper showcased the performances of the ILT (I Love Tacloban) and Plethora bands, singer-actress Karla Estrada, master rapper Andrew E, and Pinoy rock icon Bamboo, a guest artist.

The crowd greeted their respective performances with loud cheers and applause.

Apart from enjoying the entertaining performances of local artists, lucky ticket holders won raffle prizes that included cellphones and tablets, with a Honda Click 125 motorcycle as the top prize.

Mark Anthony Rejuso of Payatas, Quezon City won the grand prize.

It was in Cebu City where the first leg of the free concerts kicked off last February 12, while the second in the series was staged in Tagum City, Davao Del Norte last February 17.

The final leg of Tingog’s free thanksgiving concerts is slated to be held on March 4, in Tacloban City.
