Benefits of development

THE government of President Marcos remains committed to spread the benefits of development right down to far-flung communities throughout impoverished Philippines.

Marcos has not shown any sign of backing off from his commitment to hasten the socio-economic development of this Southeast Asian nation of more than 110 million people.

In fact, nobody expects the crusading Chief Executive from Ilocos Norte to slow down even after almost a year of orchestrating the day-to-day activities of the government.

A number of his multi-pronged programs and projects now benefitting millions of people across the country.

President Marcos is also seen to address the lack of industrial activities in the countryside and disperse the growth in all the regions.

Clearly, the only son and namesake of the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos and former First Lady Imelda R. Marcos is doing everything to unite the Filipino people.

Like other well-meaning Filipinos, including the so-called “constructive critics” of the Marcos administration, we believe that it is still possible to have unity in diversity.

“Kahit iba-iba ang ating mga opinyon ay puwede pa rin tayong magtulungan kung ang pag-uusapan ay kapakanan ng bayan at mamamayan,” a farmer said.

What is needed is for everybody, from the rich and mighty to the poor and lowly, who comprise the bulk of the country’s population, to set aside our many differences.

We look forward to realizing our dreams and achieving our goals and missions.
