Bea1MATAPOS magtambal nina Bea Alonzo at Alden Richards sa local adaptation ng South Korean K-drama series na “Start-up PH,” the new Kapuso star is working with Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo in the upcoming series na “Love Before Sunrise” na collaboration between GMA and Viu.

Excited pareho sina Bea at Dennis sa kanilang first TV series project. Ang dalawa ay parehong nagsimula sa Kapamilya network bago lumipat sa Kapuso network.

The singer, actress, vlogger and entrepreneur is also working with National Artist for Music na si Maestro Ryan Cayabyab in a musical-acting project na ayaw pang i-reveal ni Bea.

Ayon na rin sa singer-actress, isa umano si Dennis sa mga hiniling niyang makatrabaho when she signed a contract with GMA nung isang taon.

Bea (35) is in a relationship with Dominic Roque matapos ang kanyang controversial break-up with Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson.

Direk Mikhail sunud-sunod ang proyekto

DirekDirek1THIRTY-one-year-old writer, editor and award-winning director Mikhail Red has his hands full matapos maging box office hit ang kanyang psycho-thriller Metro Manila Film Festival movie na “Deleter” under Viva Films na siya ring nakapag-uwi ng sampung major awards sa MMFF Gabi ng Parangal which include Best Picture, Best Director (for Mikhail) and Best Actress (for Nadine Lustre), his first movie project under Viva Films that led to his co-venture arrangements with the major film outfit and his own Evolve Studios.

Direk Mikhail is now preparing for his next project with Viva with Nadine still leading the cast of “Nocturno“ na isa na namang horror film.

Bukod sa kanyang co-venture projects with Viva Films, DirekMik has other projects on the pipeline. Nasa development stage ang “Grandslam,” a hostage drama movie based sa hostage crisis in Manila mula sa panulat ng National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts nasi Ricky Lee to be produced ng Globe Studios, ang sci-fi film na “Quantum Suicide” which will be co-produced by Japan at gusto niyang pagbidahan ng Kapamilya heartthrob na si Daniel Padilla, ang prequel ng “Eerie” na pinamagatang “Eerie Zero” at ang remake ng 1996 movie ni Peque Gallaga, ang “Magic Temple”.

Nariyan din ang “Black Dahlia,” isang serial killer movie at ang “Dreamwalker,” isang book series adaptation tungkol sa monster slaying vlogger mula sa nobela nina Mikey Sutton at Noel Layon Flores with Kate Valdez as the lead star. Nariyan din ang “Friendly Fire” na pagbibidahan nina Loisa Andalio at Coleen Garcia, isang sports movie and to be produced by Ten17p ni Direk Paul Soriano who also produced “Arisaka” na pinagbidahan ni Maja Salvador mula sa direksyon ni Direk Mik in 2021. Nakatakda rin niyang gawin ang “Helel,” isang sci-fi spiritual horror film tungkol sa isang Filipino astronaut.

DirekMik was only 15 nang siya’ymagka-interes ng pagdidirek under the tutorship ng yumaong premyadong director na si Marilou Diaz-Abaya.

The young filmmaker directed his first short film entitled “The Threshold” which brought him to his first international film festival in Germany. Ito’y sinundan ng iba pa niyang short films tulad ng “Kamera,” “Harang” at “Hazard”.

Ang short film na “Harang”ay nanalo ng grand prize at the Seoul International Youth Film Festival in Seoul, South Korea habang ang pelikulang“Hazard” ay nanalo naman ng Special Jury Prize sa Cinemalaya International Film Festival nung 2010.

The young director was only 21 nang kanyang idirek ang kauna-unahang feature film nung 2013, ang “Rekorder”na 13 araw lamang niya tinapos. Ito ang nagpapanalo sa kanya ng Best New Director sa Cinemalaya International Film Festival nung 2014.

Taong 2016 nang kanyang idirek ang pelikulang “Birdshot” na nanalong Best Film sa Asian Future Section at the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival. The film was also submitted for the Best Foreign Language Film sa 90th Academy Awards at kauna-unahang Flipino film which was released worldwide by Netflix.

Ang kauna-unahang pelikula ni DirekMik produced by a major film studio ay ang “Eerie” na pinagbidahan nina Charo Santos at Bea Alonzo under Star Cinema in 2019. Ito’y co-production ng Star Cinema at ng Aurora Productions in Singapore.

Ang nasabing pelikula ay sinundan ng “Dead Kids,” ang kauna-unahang Filipino Netflix original film.

Taong 2020 naman nang gawin niya ang zombie film na “Block Z” under Star Cinema at kasunod na rito ang “Arisaka” ni Maja Salvador under Ten17p. Siya rin ang nag-direk ng Season 3 ng HBO series na “Halfworlds”.

The young filmmaker ay panganay na anak ng award-winning filmmaker na si Raymond Red na nakapag-uwi ng Palme d’Or for his short film, “Anino” sa 2000 Cannes Film Festival.

Vilma deserves to have a book

VilmaNATUTUWA ang mga Vilmanians ng Star for All Seasons na si Vilma Santos dahil balik-showbiz siya ngayon after being in the political arena for over two decades.

Sa ngayon ay may tatlo siyang pelikulang nakatakdang simulan at kasama na rito ang kanilang reunion movie ng kanyang perennial screen partner na si Christopher de Leon na kukunan pa sa Japan, a movie with Direk Erik Matti under Reality Entertainment at may isa pa. May posibilidad ding gumawa siya ng isang weekly sitcom.

Vi deserves to have a book of her own. Bibihira ang katulad niya na tumagal sa industriya ng anim na dekada na nasa itaas pa rin ng karera. A well-loved personality, ngayon pa lamang ay marami na ang naghihintay sa kanyang pagbabalik-pelikula.
