Batangas lawyer gunned down in office
A LAWYER died after two unknown suspects entered and shot him inside his office in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, Thursday morning.
The victim was identified as Reginald Michael C. Manito, 42, a lawyer and resident of Gen. Miguel Malvar Ave., Bgy. Poblacion 1, Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.
According to the report, the lawyer himself was inside his office located at Gov. Malvar Ave. Barangay Poblacion 1, Sto. Thomas City, February 17 when two men armed with guns entered and shot the victim in various parts of the body.
After the shooting, the suspects fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was immediately rushed to St. Cabrini Medical Center, in Sto. Tomas City for treatment but was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Gil Christoper Auila.
Police immediately conducted a manhunt operation against the suspect as they have yet to determine the motive for the shooting.
Authorities recovered a piece of empty shell casing for an unspecified caliber of a gun at the crime scene.
“If anyone has information on the whereabouts of the suspect, immediately inform the authorities for immediate resolution of the case,” said Batangas Provincial Director PCol. Glicerio C. Cansilao.
