BARCELONA Olympics bronze medalist Roel Velasco will be the special guest in Thursday’s 111th edition “Usapang Sports on Air” by the TabloIds OrganIzation in Philippine Sports (TOPS) via Zoom.
Velasco, who captured the bronze medal in the light flyweight category in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, will talk about the Tokyo Olympics and his own experiences in the world’s biggest sporting stage.
Last Sunday, Velasco and nine other sports heroes were honored by no less than President Duterte during the fourth Philippine Spors Hall of Fame ceremony organized by the Philipine Sports Commission (PSC).
Also appearing the 10 a.m. public service program sponsored by the PSC, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and Games and Amusements Board (GAB) are Philippine Wrestling Federation president Alvin Aguilar, national men’s softball head coach Apol Rosales and national windsurfing team coaches Reneric Moreno and German Paz.
TOPS president Ed Andaya of People’s Tonight is inviting all officers and members and friends in the sports community to join the weekly spor5s session.

This is the 111th episode of the “Usapang Sports” since its formal launch at the National Press Club in 2018 and its 53rd edition since going online due to the coronavirus outbreak.
