CORDILLERA Police Regional Office director, Brigadier General Ronald O. Lee on Saturday announced the arrest of a drug-dealing company security guard in Baguio City.

The official identified the suspect as Christ Jos de Vera, 37, a native of Pangasinan residing in the City of Pines.

According to Lee, the suspect who has been listed as a ‘street-level individual’ was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by combined officers of the Baguio City Police Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at Malcolm Square.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect were two plastic sachets containing 40 grams of dried marijuana leaves, the marked money paid to him by the undercover officer and a mobile phone he used in making the drug deal.

Lee said the suspect is now being held at the Baguio City police jail, facing charges for the sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
