Bacoor City elected officials take oath of office

BACOOR CITY, Cavite – Newly elected officials in the recently concluded May 9, 2022 local election in Bacoor City formally took their oath of office before their respective administrators Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the historic San Miguel Archangel Roman Catholic Church here.

Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. administered the oath of office of Mayor Edwin “Strike” Revilla, Cavite 2nd District Congresswoman-elect Lani Mercado-Revilla, Agimat Party-list Representative Bryan Revilla, and Vice Mayor-elect Rowena Bautista Mendiola.

Cong. Lani Mercado Revilla will return to the House of Representatives, a post she held from 2010- 2016 and to be joined by her son AGIMAT Partylist Rep. Bryan Revilla and Cavite 1st Dist. Cong. Ramon “Jolo” Revilla III in the 19th Congress.

Guest of honor and speaker Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla Jr. administered the oath of office of reelected Board Member Edwin Malvar and newbie Ram Revilla of the 2nd District of Cavite, 12 councilors, and two districts of the locality.

Before the formal swearing-in, a holy mass was led by Rev. Fr. Calixto Lumandas and attended by relatives of the new local executives and their supporters.

The flag and book were immediately turned over by outgoing Mayor Lani Revilla to incoming Mayor Strike Revilla at a ceremony in the lobby of the Bacoor Government Center on Molino Boulevard.
