THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) barred the attempt of an Australian “hacker” to enter the Philippines.

According to BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco, heads of the BI’s Border Control and Enforcement Unit (BCIU) reported the interception of Risteski Borche, 40, who attempted to enter the Philippines aboard a Cebu Pacific flight from Sydney at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA T3) last December 21.

Risteski is an Australian of Macedonian descent and is the subject of an Interpol alert.

The suspect was said to be wanted in Macedonia for unauthorized entering into a computer system, in violation of Article 251 of the criminal code of the Republic of Macedonia. He faces four years imprisonment in the said country.

He was denied entry and was recommended to be included in the BI’s blacklist. By Jun I. Legaspi and Hector Lawas
