BANTAYAN mo mga kapatid at Daddy mo anak, huwag mo silang pababayaan,”

These were the last words of a 38-year-old housewife to her eldest daughter before she was found by her live-in partner hanging from the ceiling of their house Sunday before dawn in Malabon City.

Malabon Police Sub-Station 7 commander P/Maj. Patrick Alvarado said the housewife was last seen alive by her live-in partner at around 2 a.m. after drinking liquor inside their home at 37 Esguera St. Flores.

At around 4:30 a.m., the husband woke up and was shocked to see his live-in partner hanging with a rope looped around her neck and the other end tied on the beam of the ceiling of their house.

The husband immediately cut the rope and rushed the victim to Ospital ng Malabon, together with his nephew, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival by her attending physician.

The victim’s eldest daughter told P/CMsgt. Gerardo Bautista that her mother was suffering from depression due to constant asthma attacks.

Malabon Police Chief P/Col. Albert Barot said victim’s family executed a waiver informing the police that they are no longer interested in the conduct of further investigation since they believe there was no foul play behind the death.
