Arms cache seized in Aklan

MALAY, Aklan — Police personnel led by Lt. Col. Don Dicksie de Dios seized high powered guns, rifle grenades and bullets from the house of a slaughterhouse supervisor in Zone II, Cubay Sur, Malay, Aklan.

In his report to Col. Perlito Perlas, Aklan police director, De Dios identified the arrested suspect as Neil Quintin, 51, of Cubay Sur.

De Dios said the raid was conducted based on information from concerned citizens.

Perlas lauded government troops who conducted the raid composed of de Dios , Intelligence personnel led by Lt. Joven Viga; Lt. Charlie Banglagan, PCP5 Commander; personnel from PNP AVSEGroup led by Lt Redym Daligdig, OIC Caticlan Airport Police Station and Aklan Maritime police led by its OIC PLT Lt. Romulo Mangili.

The peaceful conduct of the search and inventory was witnessed by Councilor Nickie M. Cahilig and Bgy. Kagawad Manuel A. Flores.

De Dios said their operation was conducted on the strength of a search warrant issued by Judge Bienvenido P. Barrios Jr., RTC Executive Judge of Kalibo, Aklan.
