Anti-illegal drug operations net 7 men in NE
CUYAPO, Nueva Ecija — Seven suspects on Thursday were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in this municipality.
Town police chief Lt. Col. Erwin Ferry said five were nabbed for using “pot” in Bgy. Sabit at 4:40 a.m. on Thursday.
Ferry identified the five as Virnaliza Pacol, 24, of Bgy. Tagtagumbao; Ron Jayson Labiano, 24; Gabhriel Lozano, 24; Eugene Jeff Paa, 24; and Jeric Sobrepena, all of Bgy. Villaflores.
The official said the five suspects, who were placed under surveillance for three days by his men for being tagged as newly-identified drug personalities of this town, were caught inside the rented house of Virmar Domingo.
Seized from the suspects was a partially-opened transparent plastic sachet containing shabu worth P100.
In another anti-illegal drug operation, Ferry said those nabbed were Virnar Domingo, 39, and Mary Jane Bacarra, 33, both of Bgy. Paitan Sur.
Police arrested the duo in Bgy. Sabit after selling shabu worth P500.
