Another wave of oil price ‘pandemic’
OIL firms announced another big-time increase of their prices effective today following a rollback last week.
In separate advisories, independent oil firms PTT Philippines, Petro Gazz, Unioil, Total Philippines, Flying V and Seaoil said they will raise gasoline prices by P1.05 and diesel by P0.80 starting 6 a.m while Clean Fuel will impose the same price adjustments at 4:01 p.m.
Major oil firms Chevron Philippines announced the same price adjustments on their oil products effective at 12:01 a.m. while Petron Corporation and Pilipinas Shell will impose the same prices of its gasoline and diesel products at 6 a.m.
Chevron, Petron and Pilipinas Shell, along with Flying V and Seaoil jacked up prices of kerosene products by P0.75.
Energy sources said prices of fuel in the international oil market have been rising due to the continuing global demand for petroleum products.
