Mata ng Agila Primetime, NET25’s top-rating evening news program, now has its new co-anchor in the person of Ali Sotto.

The broadcasting industry veteran will be manning the much-coveted news desk alongside mainstay anchor, Alex Santos.

After creating a name in the Philippine entertainment scene, Ali is now regarded as part of only a few to make a successful transition into the highly competitive news and public affairs arena.

As anchor and host, she has led various high profile news coverages, featured countless human interest stories and has even tackled multiple presidential elections via long-running, iconic television and radio news and public affairs programs, including NET25’s trending morning show, ASPN: Ano Sa Palagay N’yo?

“I really look forward to working with Alex. Rest assured that I will be (his) formidable partner and ally. Together, solid as one, in delivering the most trustworthy news coverage, from Monday to Friday. You can depend on that,” Ali says.

Having crafted his own career as a young television reporter and news presenter in Davao, Alex saw his journalistic endeavors taking him from local news commentator, editor and director to one of the country’s most respected anchors via multi-platform newscasts and coverages.

He now considers NET25 as his home while headlining its public affairs investigative top rater, Responde.

“Thank you, (Ali), for accepting this (job) as I know that our Alex-Ali tandem will surely deliver truthful news and I look forward, also, to this long-lasting partnership,” Alex states.

Asked about her sentiments on getting back in the anchor’s saddle again, Ali has this to say: “I see this as a huge privilege, another chance given to me by our countrymen — to serve them. I would like to thank our NET25 management for the trust, for choosing me and offering the chance to spend time with our viewers nightly as we deliver THE most honest news.”

Catch Ali and Alex in Mata ng Agila Primetime from Monday to Friday, 6 to 7:30 p.m., with livestreams via NET25’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
