QC cops nab 2 for Taytay cable theft

QUEZON City policemen arrested the two suspects allegedly involved in PLDT cable theft in Taytay, Rizal.

PLTCOL Ritchie Claravall, the Station Commander of PS 9, identified the suspects as Rosendo Fallorina, 54 y/o and Christian Moreno, 25 y/o, both residents of Brgy. Chrysanthemum, San Pedro Laguna.

Report shows that at about 2:30 a.m. of December 3, 2022, a flash alarm was received by PS 9 from PLDT Incorporation regarding a cable theft incident transpired at E. Rodriguez Avenue, Taytay Rizal. The suspects involved were on board a dark green Centra motorcycle and Isuzu six wheel closed van.

The duty Station Tactical Operations Center (STOC) of PS 9 immediately instructed and alerted all units of PS 9 to conduct checkpoint and Oplan Sita for the possible arrest of the suspects.

At about 3:10 a.m. of the same date, the same description of the vehicles mentioned were flagged down at Katipunan Avenue corner Pansol Avenue. However, when they were about to be approached, they sped off.

A brief chase was ensued but the suspects were cornered at Petawealth Gasoline Station located at NIA Road corner Edsa, Brgy. East Traingle, Quezon City which led to the recovery of 2000 Pairs x 24 approximately 175 meters FSF Underground Copper Cable valued at P590,460.

The case has been turned over to the Taytay Municipal Police Station where the incident happened. The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of Section 4 of R.A. 10515 or Anti-Cable Television and Cable Internet Tapping Act of 2013.
