GenTri COVID-19 cases down to single digit

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite – COVID-19 cases have been steadily declining with only single digits being added to its daily cases based on the data of City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

GenTri has recorded only 9 new cases out of a total of 77 active cases in the city, most of which are in strict home quarantine (61 cases), 16 were admitted to GenTri Ligtas COVID-19 Facility inside the Sports Park in Barangay Santiago.

61 of them are asymptomatic, 15 with mild symptoms and 1 severe and no critical case. 13 out of 33 villages are now COVID-19 free.

While the registration for inoculation of aged 5 to 11 years old is now open via online registration at https://generaltrias.gov.ph/covax/pedia5-11.

GenTri currently has reached 220,650 vaccinated adult population and 23,566 vaccinated pediatric aged 12 to 17 and 693,199 vaccinated individuals.

Around 468,116 total vaccines administered, 1st dose 237,428, 2nd dose 230,688 inoculated healthcare workers, senior citizens, non-senior adults with comorbidities, frontline personnel in essential sectors, indigents, rest of adult and pediatric (ages 12-17) population.

Dr. Jonathan Luseco, GenTri City Health Officer encouraged residents 18 years old and above from Categories A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, and the rest of the adult population – walk-ins are allowed for 1st dose and booster doses.
