Batangas MWP ‘rapist’ falls

STO. TOMAS CITY – Authorities arrested a most wanted person (MWP) charged with rape in Bgy. San Vicente, here the other day.

Sto. Tomas Police Station commander Lt. Col. Alfie M. Salang identified the accused as Francis Ramirez, 22, single, former bartender, a native and resident of this village.

Ramirez according to Salang is listed as no. 5 at the provincial level – hid from the law for almost a year before being caught around 12:00 p.m. by the Sto. Tomas CPS personnel led by PSMS. Cipriano M. Manaig, warrant PNCO together with 1st Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company (BPMFC) led by PLt. Warlie Flor U. Contreras on the validity of the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Charito M. Macalintal-Sawali of the Tanauan City Regional Trial Court, Branch 66 with no recommended bail.

The suspect raped the victim identified as Baby (not her real name), 16, while she was sleeping because she was drunk, Lt. Col. Salang said.
