Man dies in Tondo shooting

AUTHORITIES are investigating the motive for the murder of a 44-year-old father, whether it was drug-related or for revenge in Tondo, Manila, Tuesday night.

Based on the report submitted by P/Lt. Adonis Aguila, chief of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section to MPD District Director, P/Brig. General Leo “Paco” Francisco, it was past 9:45 p.m. when the shooting took place at the intersection of Tuazon and Sto. Niño Streets in Tondo.

The victim was identified as Richard Ramos Y Manabat, resident of #84 San Ignacio St. Ramos was having a drink with his brother Mark Harold, when the van carrying 3 people, including the driver, arrived – two got off, then suddenly shot the victim.

The three suspects fled quickly and boarded a dark green van after the shooting.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but was already dead due to bullet wounds according to the doctors.

The remains of the victim were temporarily placed at the Cruz Funeral Morgue for the corresponding autopsy, while the identification of the three suspects continues. By Jon-jon Reyes at C.J Aliño
